Huge traffic that will hit the network element is the main reason why network port should be upgrade to Giga byte or optical fiber port.
The network interface port on the servers which server part of mobile broadband service such as streaming and download contents, game services also should be upgraded to Giga byte or optical fiber port. The same way should be done on others network elements such as firewall, bandwidth management, cache engine etc. Upgrading the network to support mobile broadband service is to anticipate huge traffic which definitely will come and prevent network bottleneck.
