How to root Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

The first thing you have to do is download root package which you can find on  http://www.multiupload.com/37ZHSBAPQU. there are many batch files (*.bat files) on the root packages file you have been downloaded and they have been named sequence “step1.bat”, “step2.bat” and so on. The next step, open reqedit and find base on the keyword (CTRL+F): “USB\Vid_0fce&Pid_adde\”. You will find USB connection which will be used for your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. then open “USB\Vid_0fce&Pid_adde\yyyyyy” by right click and rename and copy the part “yyyyyy”. The next step is paste “deviceID.txt file to folder “step1” and “step2”. The step to root is:

  1. Running “step1.cmd” to flash the firmware to R1EA018 version
  2. Turn on your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and activate USB-Debugging onSettings > Applications > Development.
  3. Running “step2.cmd” and many applications will run, then select no 6 for debugging
  4. Your Android Sonny Ericsson Xperia X10 will restart automatically and then run “step3.cmd” to change the firmware on the “step1.cmd” to the new one
  5. Find if any problem while you run your Android Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. if you find, then run “step4.cmd”. if you did not find, then you complete rooting your phone
