T-Mobile as one of broadband providers in USA has launched IPV6 Trial for their subscribers which has unlimited broadband plan (data plan) and have T-Mobile coverage. The subscribers should not roam or use WiFi connection and they should have on Nokia 5320 Nuron and Nokia E73 Mode Mobile Phone. There will be limited service on this IPV6 trial such as Visual Voice Mail, MyAccount, MMS (picture messages), Web and email. T-Mobile as one of the big broadband providers in USA aware of the IPV4 address which exhausted and should integrate and ensure the transition from IPv4 services to IPv6 services. To accommodate such propose, T-Mobile have been working together with industry partners, the IETF, and the 3GPP to develop the right standards and the right ecosystem to make the IPv6 Internet a reality. T-Mobile is now joining to Comcast and Verizon which earlier to launch IPV6 to their subscribers
IPV6 is a new IP addressing standardization which implemented to resolves unanticipated IPv4 design issues, and the desire to provide additional functionality for modern devices and upgrade current version of Internet Protocol (IP). IPV6 will have features such as new header format, large address space, efficient and hierarchical addressing and routing infrastructures, stateless and stateful address configuration. Currently there are few mobile phone devices that support IPV6. Android phone with the latest version and IOS4 are support IPV6 but only through WiFi interface. Nokia symbians can do natively IPV6. Therefore introduction of IPV6 trial to their subscribers, T-Mobile limit to the subscribers who have Nokia 5320 Nuron and Nokia E73 Mode Phone. Android phone can bring IPV6 to WiFi only due to a bug with the qualcomm chip which being used by many devices.
