Android marketplace hit by virus-laden apps, Google slow to respond
Virus is something we do not want at our lovely gadget we have including android phone. However, hacker will try their best to inject any virus to any gadget including android phone. The recently news I read at broadbandgenie.com said that Google has to remove some apps on the android marketplace due to hacker succeed to infect the malware on the android phone. The virus-laden they injected to android phone, they can hijact user’ phone. Google said about at least 21 free apps are infected to virus-laden while some reports said that it could reach number at 50 apps. Fortunately, google has removed them from android marketplace.
How hacker can inject virus-laden to google app in android marketplace? Broadbandgenie.com said that hackers, believed to be in China, was downloading legitimate android apps from android marketplace then adding malicious code and re-uploads them. Once they re-upload them to android marketplace they ready to catch unaware user’s android phone.

Reddit blogger Lompolo is who noticed that the name publisher of one apps was not the actual publisher and then looking at the code discovered a root exploit. Lompolo mentioned that the apps have been downloaded by android user about 50k – 200k times in four days
Broadbandgenie.com reported that according to security frim Symantec, some of code could run massive phonebills for unsuspecting users while other pieces of malware could take over the web browser and navigate to infected websites to wreak further damage
