If we go back few year ago, Google is the most valuable brand in the world but now Apple’s promotion to the number one ends Google’s four year stint in first place. As been reported in broadbandgeni.co.uk, Peter Walshe, global brands director at Millward Brown reckons it’s all to do with Apple’s suite of ‘must-have’ consumer gadgets it’s all to do with Apple’s suite of ‘must-have’ consumer gadgets. “Apple is breaking the rules in terms of its pricing model,” said Walshe. “It’s doing what luxury brands do, where the higher price the brand is, the more it seems to underpin and reinforce the desire. Obviously, it has to be allied to great products and a great experience, and Apple has nurtured that.”
Millward Brown give a note that this survey is conducted not to looking at the financial information and working out what percentage of that is attributable to the brand itself. If we talk about financial information, MB has Apple valued at $153bn while the financial markets reckon more like $320bn; and Google’s estimated worth stands at $111bn with MB vs $172bn on the stock market
