Nielson Data: Android users consume more data than iPhone users
I am sure you already known that Android was becoming the most wanted smart phone after iPhone. However, market is always growing and could be changed in the future. The latest update that has been published by Nielson is the new data of how the smart phone user access mobile broadband service from their gadget. Nielson data reported that Android users consume more data than iPhone users. The more promotion from mobile broadband provider which usually bundled with the mobile phone includes more benefits such as free internet access either tethering or directly from the mobile phone.
Both android and iPhone are the smartphone which allowing users to access high speed internet access from the mobile phone directly with various broadband network such as 4G. users’ consumption to the data is influenced by what kind of features or application embedded in the smart phone beside mobile broadband provider’s promotion. And now you know well that Android is always updated with the various application either online or offline. Many applications which require internet access directly is also available in android market. This was driving android user to consume more data than iPhone user. Nielson data reported that Android users used 582MB per month in Q1 2011 opposed to 492MB per month by iPhone users.
Nielson data reported the data consumption from the smart phone and found that Android user beat iPhone in term of using data usage either using mobile broadband service for surfing or accessing online applications. Details of the Nielson data show that Android user is number one which consuming data and then followed by iPhone in number two.
