LTE from AT&A could be expedited after T-Mobile acquisition
Broadband service will have more network platform beside existing (3G, HSDPA,EVDO) after some broadband providers confirmed to launch new broadband platform such as LTE and WIMAX. Talking about LTE network, one of the giant broadband providers, AT&T recently announces acquisition of USA T-Mobile in many to expedite their 4G LTE service which will provide customer with greater quality, faster speeds, and greater capacity. AT&T confirms that they already put a bid for thirty nine billion dollar cash and stock deal to T-Mobile USA to expedite their LTE service besides waiting approval from the regulator. AT&T will be the biggest broadband providers in USA if T-Mobile accepts this bid. Broadbandexpert.com informed, the deal that AT&T has agreed with Deutsche Telekom is that the total value of the acquisition will be thirty nine billion dollars and twenty four billion of this will be cash
LTE (Long term Evolution) is new wireless broadband technology which designed to support broadband speed up to 100 Mbps for downloading and 50 Mbps for uploading. LTE can run through mobile phone, handled devices and broadband modem. LTE advance can serve broadband speed up to 1Gbit/s and upload 500 Mbps
In another side, sprint has concerned about AT&T acquisition of T-Mobile. It has been expected that once AT&T acquires T-Mobile, they will be the largest broadband providers in USA and result in a monopoly in the market. This has been stated by Sprint Nextel Corp, CEO Dan Hasse. It is taken from broadbandexpert.com that Dan Hasse said “I do have concerns that it would stifle innovation and too much power would be in the hands of two.” The head of Verizon Wireless, Dan Mead, was also asked for his stance on the acquisition. He simply said: “We’re certainly very interested in what’s going on.”
