Please search on goole.com with the keyword “mobile broadband service” and you will find Clearwire’s wireless broadband service in no 8 of Google search result. Clearwire is one of the largest US wireless broadband services that already built 4G network all across the country. Clearwire bring high speed internet access to over 130 million people and 70 markets in US and backed by a wealth of spectrum. With deep spectrum they have, they plan to double existing 4G network in 2015.

Good news that you probably interested to know about Clearwire today is they plan to add LTE Advance-ready technology to their 4G network. LTE advance-ready technology is different with standard LTE. LTE advance-ready will use ultra-high- capacity spectrum configuration. During technical trial they can download speed exceeding 120 Mbps. Since LTE advance-ready is new technology, they need to enhance existing network to support this new technology such as deploying Time Division Duplex (TDD) LTE, upgrade base station radio and core network. However there are many heritages network they can use such as flexible all-IP network architecture. Clearwire has a vision to build future of mobile broadband service

I suggest you to visit their website clearwire.com to get further more information about their wireless broadband service, network, coverage, speed and recent technology they implement to their network. Simply, you can type with keyword “mobile broadband service” or “wireless broadband service” from Google engine, I believe you will find their website in top ten of Google result with this keyword

Where is the best place to find mobile broadband service review from the affordable mobile broadband providers such as Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and ACS? Instead of comparing one by one each them, I believe getting review from the website that specialize on this particular subject is more beneficial for us before we decide to use mobile broadband package from affordable broadband providers. If you go to mobile-broadband-services-review.toptenreviews.com you will find the answer how to get broadband review from those broadband providers. You can find this website easily since this site has good rank in Google engine. By typing main keyword of broadband service such as “mobile broadband service” from google.com, you will find this website in no 2 after virginmobileusa.com/mobile-broadband. You will land in homepage when you type that keyword. One thing that you should aware, you will get different result while you search on Google.co.uk with the same keyword

Now, we go through this website and check what kind of information we can find there. With the keyword “mobile broadband service” you are typing from google.com, and click on mobile-broadband-services-review.toptenreviews.com, you will get information about 2012 Mobile broadband review comparison. They will compare around 7 mobile broadband providers that have been mentioned above. They will review key parameters that indicating how affordable those providers and suit to your needs. Those key parameters include prices, network speed, network coverage, data network reliability and support.

Actually depends on your need and location, each of those mobile broadband service providers and pros and cons. This is what we can summarize from the reviews they given. It is reasonable since almose those providers have similar broadband packages which including free service they are given, coverage etc. however If your location has better coverage for particular mobile broadband service providers, I suggest you to use that provider. You just need to select which broadband package you need

Verizon High Speed Broadband Wireless USB Modems: LTE modems

It is very critical providing high quality USB modems if LTE providers starting to serve LTE service to their customers. Verizon as one of the LTE providers anticipating this issue and then they provide some reliable high speed broadband wireless USB modems especially for LTE service. Usually LTE providers including Verizon provide two LTE devices which is smartphone (Android, iPhone, tablet) and USB modems. USB modem is common device that can be provided to massive customers. There are several LTE USB modems provided by Verizon such as 4G LTE USB modem 551L, 4G LTE USB modem UML290, 4G USB modem VL600. Besides smartphone and USB modem, Verizon also providing Wi-fi with broadband especially for home internet service using DSL service.

The Verizon wireless 4G LTE USB modem 551L is one of the LTE modem device that allow you to get 4G speed in Verizon network. Besides working in Verizon network, this modem is also compatible with companies’ 3G network. It means that you can still use this modem if you did not get Verizon network. 4G LTE USB modem 551L is working on the computer with specification; windows vista, XP, Mac OS version 10.4 or higher and Linux. Pantech 4G LTE USB modem UML290 is running on Verizon 4G network and 3G network. This modem is also working on the same computer’s specification. The same thing is also happen in LG 4G USB modem VL600

Verizon network while providing LTE service to their customer, they also apply broadband contract for particular period such as 6 months or a year. While during contract period, customer is not allowed to change their broadband number to another broadband provider. However customer can change their contract after following some steps determined by Verizon

Home and mobile broadband services

Mobile broadband service

Each of the broadband providers in the world when they plan to deliver mobile broadband service to the market, they should build the following broadband network infrastructures; GGSN/PDSN, HLR/VLR, BSC, BTS, Online/Offline charging gateway, AAA server and Packet Control (quota and speed management). Besides those broadband networks, they still require international bandwidth to deliver traffic to internet world wide. The same network infrastructures are required when they plan to deliver home broadband service. The most different thing between home and mobile broadband services is that home broadband requires CPE devices at end user that should be installed by broadband customers and running optical fiber from the close CE to home broadband areas. Customers will have dedicated connection to internet gateway (wireline). Meanwhile mobile broadband service is wireless base which means there is sharing resource between one customers to others.

Home broadband providers should invest more to run optical fiber from core network to customers. In another case, home broadband providers should invest satellite connection to provide internet link connection. In addition, usually home broadband service will have limited area such as limited residential area, apartment area and office area. The benefit of home broadband service is customer will have guarantee bandwidth since they have dedicate link from customer CPE to broadband provider core network. If we register monthly package with the speed 6 Mbps and quota 20GB, then we will get that speed. Mobile broadband service will have different scenario. They are wireless internet service which is customer will share network resource with another one. As the result, they will get unstable connection and no guarantee bandwidth. The most powerful of mobile broadband service is they serve wide range customers as long as they covered by broadband signal. Customer is limited with the total subscriber in the same coverage area. In EVDO case, there is no limitation of broadband customers. More customer can be served but the performance will go down.

How to use broadband service in Android smartphone

Broadband provider prefer to have bundling smartphone such as Android which including broadband contract for certainty period i.e. 6 months or 1 year. During contract period, customer should use MSISDN (mobile subscriber identity) and Android will be locked to avoid using another broadband providers. There are different mechanism can be applied by broadband provider to deliver broadband service to their customer which usually will be given as part of bonus bundling. What kind of broadband service mechanism can be applied to Android’s customers?

Activation bonus is popular free of broadband service that will be given immediately to subscriber while they activate their Android phone number. Activation is one of verification process to identify ownership of Android phone number and activate backend system such as activate in Online Charging System (OCS), Intelligent Network (IN), Home Local Register (HLR), Charging gateway, and many more. Once all those elements have been provisioned to enable broadband service, then your Android phone is ready to enjoy broadband service given by providers

Using broadband service in Android phone is very simple caused usually broadband providers has been prepared to use this service once subscriber insert their RUIM card and perform activation process. Activation process usually can be done through some channel such as online website, SMS to particular Short Code (SC), or contacting Customer Relation Management (CRM) of broadband provider to fill activation form. Once they are ready, now you can enjoy broadband service on your Android phone by clicking on browser that you can find on your Android phone.

Then how to use broadband service if your bonus bundling has expired or exceeded? Usually broadband provider will give mount of quota bonus and speed such as 1 GB with speed up to 3,1 Mbps for a month. Once your bonus quota is expired or exceeded then you can recharge your broadband service by purchasing broadband packages by providers. It depends on your purpose, you can purchase one or more broadband packages before you use again broadband service on your Android phone

Bundling broadband devices: locked devices with specific PPP domain in PDSN (EVDO case)

While you decided to bundle your broadband service with the smartphone or any broadband devices which broadband by device manufactures, you should prepare everything to avoid problems that may come in the future and complaints from your broadband customers. Usually, while broadband provider plans to bundle their broadband service either smartphone or broadband modem, they will lock those device to avoid customers to insert MSIDN from another broadband companies. There are my types to lock those devices can be adopted by broadband providers before they launch this bundling devices (smartphone or modem) to customers. One of the common methods is locked this device with particular PPP domain while dial broadband service.

Any broadband devices, either smartphone or devices, will send a specific domain while make a session. Information that will come from broadband devices are username and password (domain), MSIDN (subscriber number), IMSI (in CDMA, EVDO platform). In EVDO cases, PDSN (Packet Data Serving Node) will receive this information and giving authorize for subscribers to access network. If information sent by devices is match with the authorization profile they have then PDSN will permit those subscribers to access the network. If information is not match then PDSN will reject this session.

Usually broadband providers and device manufactures will have agreement what kind of information will be developed in this devices. This is developed by hard code that means by default, broadband devices will always send that information to PDSN. However in many cases especially in smartphone devices such as android, blackberry and iPhone, broadband provider is allowing subscriber to change PPP domain. But for specific reason, usually broadband company locked their subscriber to change with any other domain

Bundling broadband device such as broadband modem or smartphone is one of the common types whereas broadband company will locked PPP domain with particular information to access their network. Therefore, during development process between broadband provider and broadband device manufacture, they should ensure that all information is agreed and tested in the lab before going to launch to their customers

Optus Starts Trials of LTE Network in 700Mhz Bands supplied by Huawei

LTE will drive mobile broadband customer soon to enrich existing broadband technology and replace them as well. Many broadband providers are ready migrating their existing technology with LTE. Understand that they should invest some additional hardware and software to update or replace legacy technology to serve LTE. This is a risk they should take to offer LTE service to their customer and compete with another broadband provider that already run LTE to get much benefit for their customer especially high speed internet access. Optus, one of the broadband providers in Australia understand this situation and now they decide to make trial of LTE network in 700 Mhz bands. It has been informed by celluar-news.com that this LTE trail is carried out in Bendigo where analogue television service has been closed down. To support this LTE trial, Optus work with Huawei to supply LTE equipment. Huawei in one of the manufacture that provide broadband equipment to many providers in the world

Managing director of Optus said that this LTE trial is to test variety of commercially customer devices that operate that 700Mhz band including smartphone and Wi-Fi hotspots. Once they succeed, Optus plan to serve LTE service with variety of services such as IPTV, TV mobile, high speed internet access via mobile and home broadband and many more. Huawei has agreed to support Optus plan and ready to supply LTE equipment in the area required by Optus

Still taken from cellular-new.com, Optus said that they use the trial to measure how 700 Mhz LTE technology performs in term of speed and coverage when compare to other LTE technology. Optus said that “Another key component of the trial will be the ability to test a variety of current Optus services and applications including smartphone apps, mobile TV services, IPTV, low-latency gaming and HD video conferencing within an LTE environment.”

The hottest LTE devices available in the U.S.
Long Term Evolution (LTE) service seems will be the most affordable platform that will be performed by almost broadband providers in the world. One year back, MetroPCS was launched LTE service in US and it was the first broadband provider that provides LTE service to customer in US. After a year, today there are three broadband providers that launch LTE service to their customer; AT&T and Verizon. Customer has many options to choose which affordable LTE service they have especially while comparing in term of speed, package, broadband deal, and last but not the least is LTE device. LTE device is critical issue when broadband provider decides to migrate their platform from old one to LTE. Broadband provider should work very hard to get smooth migration in end user while they migrate their network to LTE especially device in end user. So what is the hottest LTE devices in US?

Verizon, MetroPCS and AT&A anticipated this crucial issue, therefore while they launch LTE service the common LTE device they provide to their customer is USB modems. The step, they provide more LTE devices such as smartphone and tablets that support LTE network.

Verizon network that launched 4G LTE service at December 2010 also provided various LTE devices such as USB modem, smartphone and tablets to their customer. Verizon 4G LTE network is largest LTE network in America that can give broadband speed to customer up to 10 times faster than its 3G network. Verizon plan to have more than 175 markets by end of this year

AT&T also did the same. While they launched $G LTE service, they allow their LTE service to be accessed from various LTE devices; USB modem, smartphone and tablets. 4G LTE-compatible USBConnect and Mobile Hotspot is the new USB modem that they provide to their LTE customer that has some features such as connect up to five Wi-Fi.

The same thing is followed by MetroPCS while launched LTE service to their customer. They were providing LTE devices such USB modem, smartphone and tablet which are the hottest LTE devices in the US
