Mobile broadband providers which already upgraded their network platform will still keep old network and provided the old service to their subscribers. For example CDMA mobile providers which already upgrade to the EVDO Rev A or EVDO Rev B or GSM network platform to 3G or 4G. They will serve at least 2 wireless internet service, CDMA 1x and EVDO service. The main reason due to it is need high cost investment to replace traditional network (CDMA or GSM) to the new one (CDMA Rev A or CDMA Rev B). Therefore they will provide hybrid modem technology to support both network platforms to their wireless internet subscribers.
