High reliability broadband internet service

The main issue on mobile broadband internet service is the Radio Frequency (RF) capacity and international internet bandwidth. To make sure that both point failure will always keep in service, telecommunication companies will do some preventive actions while they decide to launch mobile broadband internet service. The first thing is providing backup link to internet service provider. Telecommunication companies could have more than one of internet service provider to forward the traffic of mobile broadband internet service. Both internet service providers could be load share the traffic or active and standby. Actually telecommunication companies should invest much money to have more than one internet service provider. As you know that leasing internet bandwidth in Indonesia is very expensive compared to others country. As the result, usually redundant system of internet bandwidth to support mobile broadband internet service is given lower bandwidth compare to primary link. It is about a half of primary bandwidth capacity. For example if primary bandwidth link has 100 Mbps than secondary bandwidth link will have 50 Mbps. In addition, the secondary link is a backup link and no traffic as long as primary bandwidth link is UP

The second thing to prevent outage on broadband internet service either 3G or EVDO is upgrading the network capacity especially Base Transceiver Station (BTS), Base Station Controller (BSC) and transmission media. There will be huge traffic of broadband internet service will come to BTS and BSC. Telecommunication companies will increase the capacity on both network elements to handle that huge traffic. By upgrading BTS and BSC mean that telecommunication companies should install more BTS and BSC at the current area to support huge traffic from broadband internet service. Despite of adding the number of BTS and BSC, telecommunication companies also need to install more transmission capacity to carry out the huge traffic
