Currently the development of mobile broadband is still at the initial stage, where the technology used is still based on 3G technology, which has evolved into the HSDPA / HSUPA and HSPA +. Technology continues to evolve into the Dual Carrier HSPA + (42Mbps), Multi-Carrier (84Mbps), and supported by Multi Carrier Multiple Input Multiple Output antennas (MIMO) 2×2 (168 Mbps).

In this trial Telkomsel to assess the technical and business LTE technology, especially the resource requirements, such as the allocation of frequencies to deploy LTE, needs new investment for the implementation of LTE, as well as leveraging existing investments that can be utilized for the development of LTE implementation.
